The necessary arrangements for the smooth conduction of EdCET 2012 are completed, according to the EdCET 2012 Convenor Prof Nimma Venkata Rao.
Speaking with the press, he said that the examination will be held between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and advised students to reach the test centres 45 minutes before the commencement of the test and to avoid any disappointment. He said that no candidate will be allowed into the test center after 11:00 AM. Special observers were appointed in all cities to monitor the examination.
The Education Common Entrance Test 2012 is the entrance test for admission into one-year programme of various methodologies of Bachelor of Education (Bed) course. The entrance test will be held in 316 test centres. Candidates who applied for Urdu medium shall have to write the test either in Hyderabad or in Kurnool city only.
A total of 1,51,582 candidates will be writing the test. As many as 84,377 candidates are from Osmania University Area, 37,603 from Andhra University Area, 22,365 from Sri Venkateswara University Area and 7,237 are appearing as non-locals.
The EdCET website carried a list of candidates who have failed to submit DDs. There are about 694 candidates who have mailed applications online but failed to submit DDs were rejected.
