SFI activists protests for collecting admission fee

The counselling for admissions into B.Ed colleges across the State started on Sunday amidst protests by the activists of Students Federation of India (SFI). The EDCET admissions into around 400 B.Ed colleges began in six centres in the State including Hyderabad, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.
In the first phase of counselling, 48,000 seats would be filled. Counselling for Physical Sciences and Maths commenced and students who secured ranks from 1 to 1500 were called for on line counselling.
Meanwhile, the SFI activists staged a protest before the counselling centre against officials collecting admission fee of Rs. ;2,400.
