EDCET on September 24

The Regional Coordinator of EDCET and principal of Montessori College of Education GB Lakshmi said that the last date for submitting application forms to B.Ed course is August 30.

Speaking to media on Friday, she said that the entrance test would be conducted on September 24 at seven centres in the Krishna and Guntur districts under the purview of Acharya Nagarjuna University including Guntur, Vijayawada, Machilipatanam, Bapatla, Chirala and Tenali. Sri Venkateswara University is convening the EDCET this year.

She further said that there are 37,000 B.Ed seats in the State including 6,000 in the colleges affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. This season, the academic year for 205-06 batch began on April 20 a year behind. The colleges would have to cope up with constraints of running two simultaneous batches.
