The Minister of School Education Minister, N.Rajyalakshmi on Monday released the EdCet results. According to the Convener of the EdCet, a total of 2, 29,644 students had appeared for the examination. There are a total of 304 institutions offering B.Ed courses in the state with a total intake of 33,903 of these, 213 are unaided, 44 Christian minority, 28 Muslim minority, five universities, seven Government managed and seven aided. The private aided colleges can fill fifteen percent of seats under the management quota. The Minister of School Education requested the agitating teachers to give up their agitation and she promised the agitating teachers that the Government would do everything in its power to resolve their problems.
